Personally I didn’t mind zaitsev. His contract was a bit much and too long. Manson wouldn’t be a horrible addition, it’s the price that bothers me. Moving liljegren now would be really poor asset management if it wasn’t part of a package for a perfect return.

Any way you slice it, the Leafs, as constructed, are a very, very easy team to play against in the post season. Running out the same lineup and expecting a different result is insanity IMO.
