The worst thing is that I'm pretty convinced Kyle Dubas will create such a lineup.

I can't believe he thinks Holl is a top 4 d-man

Nice job maxing out the cap. I certainly don’t dislike this roster although Sandin should not be a healthy scratch he should play in the ahl. If we have need for him on the roster than put him in.

I don't think Dubas has any illusions that Holl is a top 4. Otherwise he would have paid him as one. Dubas isn't stupid, he is patient.

What is wrong with you. In case you didn't notice Cody Ceci played significant minutes for this team and Tyson Barrie turns the puck over whenever he touches and it caused their elimination... thereby they must believe defense is a myth. You can't be seriously suggesting the Leafs have good defense, ARE YOU?

They need a partner for Rielly, that is clear. However, defence didn't cost them the series. Korpisalo and forwards making defensive mistakes cost them the series. As well as some bad luck hitting posts. Ceci didn't cost them much, neither did Barrie. Kap was responsible for at least 2 goals against and Dubas just turned him into the 15th pick and Hallander. Barrie I thought played pretty well in the play in, didn't do much offensively but was good at getting the puck out apart from the one shift they were out there for almost 2 minutes with the 4th line. You are just saying the same crap everyone else does.

I know I'm in the minority but I don't mind Holl on the top pairing. It's obviously not ideal, but he plays a fairly fundamentally sound game. Can move the puck when the opportunity exists. Usually very well positioned. Maybe that's all Rielly needs in a D partner. Not to slop more insults on the Ceci pile of trash....but he had no confidence handling the puck in his own end. Every time he touched it, he was basically batting the puck over to Morgan in hopes he could get it out of the zone for him. Rielly was often left trying to corral a puck in dangerous positions.

I imagine they give Lehtonen every chance to crack the lineup and he's a candidate to play on the right side. I can see them moving Dermott's rights and letting Morgan-Muzz-Sandin fill in the left side...or re-signing Dermott and using Sandin in a trade for help on the right side. it's still a mish-mash but I think more moves are ahead.
