Description

Since the Ducks are losing three of their biggest ELCs, there has to be some cuts in order to fit Rickard and Lindholm into the salary cap.

Since Ducks defense is already very strong, and they have strong prospects, that is where cuts will have to be made in order to maintain a strong offensive presence.

I can tell you right now, No way does BM trade Fowler Despres and Stoner if Despres and Stoner get moved then Fowler is staying no way is BM trading away 3 D-man just isn't going to happen.

Can see Stoner be given away, and maybe even Despres as you suggest.. Leafs need scorers...JVR, not another LHD.

We basically have to give away our defensemen. We need decent forwards and we have great defensive prospects that can play. Not to mention, we have a stacked defence so we can take a bit of a hit there to build up our offense.

What I find very intereting is how he moved Lindholm to RD and Manson/Montour to LD...not to mention Richardson to RW! and Perry to RW3

Interesting lines, but the cap is way too high and the defense too thinned out. It's not that Montour isn't ready for some NHL time, it's that he's very not ready for a top 4. He hasn't played an NHL game yet, it's gonna take time to adjust. He needs to see minutes against easier comp in a bottom pairing with a defensively responsible vet, and Theo still needs some more time in that role at the moment
