Whats The Asking Price For Danault

Description
With Suzuki and Kotk on the rise and Danault questioning his future with MTL, what would it take to get him? Think he would be a great add for the Caps. It would allow us to move Kuznetsov to the wing. Or would Kuz be involved in the trade? Which I wouldn't mind if MTL gives up a bit more.

F*** yeah you don’t. Here’s what’s going on: Danault isn’t for sale, especially for an expensive, aging, terrible two-way guy like Kuz. As Danault ages and declines, Kotkaniemi and Suzuki will pass him on the depth chart and he will become a reliable 3C. For now, he can settle on sharing time in a three way rotation with KK and Suzuki. Teams with depth are the best teams.

LOL stop dreaming over a good center? Danault isn't some elite offensive franchise player that no way will he traded. I could easily see him being traded.

He was also asked if his role on the team will influence his decision to stay in Montreal long-term and he said, “Yes.” So if Suzuki and Kotk take over 1-2 he isn't resigning to be on the 3rd line.

I hate Kuznetsov "bird man" loser more than probably any player in the NHL and even I can tell you that hes worth way more than Danault and is significantly better.

You have it aaaaaaall figured out from a "yes" to a generic question.

What was he supposed to say? "I dont care if I'm not on the first line, I only care about the money!"

Glad you see him beeing traded. Now stop telling people about your dreams of getting Montréal 's hometown boy with Selke considerations beeing traded to your team because he played hard to get during his contracts negociations.

It's not really a dream lol I just asked what he would cost. He's very good, he isn't an elite player. Not a big deal if Caps don't get him. But I'll guarantee you now, he's not re-signing if he's going to be a 3rd liner. He still can make money more money on his next contract. If he's playing 3rd line minutes he won't want to stay.

Well he is the foward with the most icetime on the team during the playoffs, so dont worry wink

People wish he was 3rd center, but the thruth is that he will still be the first center next season despite Suzuki and KK beeing hot for 20 days.

Both teams have the cap room. No way in hell Caps do it for Vrana straight up let alone adding a pick.

That would be the price imo. Both 50+ pts players, Vrana very good offensively but also plays with the likes of Ovy, Kuzy, Backstrom etc. Danault is selke vote C who can create plays and plays a hard 200 ft game. Value would be there but Habs arent trading Danault and Washington aint trading Vrana

IMO if Danault gets moved it ll be for a huge offer

Mtl can easily have him play with Gallagher and Tatar if Tomas stays and still have Suzuki with Drouin and maybe Caufield or armia or a free agent signing whatever .

so Phil get his top6 spot and signs a new contract and a year or so later is slowly pushed down the lineup BY KK .

KK had OK playoffs and showed much improvement but he played in the AHL most of the year and is 20 years old he hasnt past Danault yet just because he got 1 more point than Danault in 10 playoff games ...

saying Danault will be traded and his value is diminished becuase hes said he feels he still a top 6 center and isnt ready to give his top line spot up yet is ridiculous Laine said the same thing a few years back would the Jets let him go for Byron and Armia ?

Vrana is probably a 70-80 point player if he got top time on 5v5 and 1PP. He's better than Danault offensively and MAYBE slightly worse defensively but still very good, so Caps don't do that. But if that's how it is o well.
