Doubt the Jets give up Samberg in any scenario, defense is what they need right now, and he's gonna be a real good defenseman

I wouldn't call Nylander filler, he's 22 with a middle-six toolset. Maatta would give DET a reliable partner to someone like Seider or Lindström.

I could see the Jets being interested in Strome, but Samberg would not be part of the deal.
