Upgrade the 4th to a first in 2021. Otherwise it boils down to Strome for Mittelstadt 1 for 1, which is totally uninteresting to the hawks for obvious reasons AND Maatta for Johansson and a 4th, which would be fair value normally.

Ok, so you probably aren’t in the market for him then. My point with the original post is that there’s nothing to make the hawks want to do this.

I actually think he would be and specifically for BUF. BUF is not at all a fast team. Maatta was really good for the Hawks. Id actually like to keep him. He and slater were by far the best Dpair in the playoffs. 9 points combined...highest +/- on the team...they were the shutdown pair too. Zero pp time.

I guess I was looking to weaponize our cap space, the deal would save you guys around $3 million. That’s a fair analysis though, I have no idea what the value of Strome may end up being. Probably with his age, position, and offensive potential, he will end up costing more than I’d like haha. But I do like him and Skinner together, those guys on the same line could really supply some good secondary scoring to our powerhouse Eichel line
