and unless you are Armstrong's inside man you can't possibly know if he will be traded or not. This is the guy who signed Faulk to that ridiculous deal and created these hard choices at RD.

Blues have a lot of bad options. Ones that will cost assets. That ridiculously bad signing of Faulk meant the end of one of petro or Parayko.

So if Army does come to terms with petro I could certainly see them investigating the returns on Parayko.

As a leafs fan who is very high on Parayko... I would go after Cernak first. It’s just a smarter move. Much like trying to move steen and bozak at a loss may not be wise.

Cernak would be cheaper in contract and assets. Not as good as Parayko but one day could be. With more term and controllable years. Leafs could move liljegren and draft Schneider.

My opinion, leafs fans won’t like it... remove Johnsson add Robertson. No cap going back would be key. I would look for Parayko and Barbie coming back. This would allow the leafs to move kerfoot. Which would help make room for Parayko.
