Laine is a 40+ goal scorer. I think it’s more then fair. EDM fills a hole, WPG fills a hole

Why trade laine to Edmonton? Nuge ain’t going anywhere think holland what’s to add laine to the list of players needing extension that’s cap suicide

I think it is close enough as value... but don't see Pegs trading Laine to any Canadian direct competitors.. like Edm, Cgy, Van... If they trade him, it will be in NYR or Tampa

Winnipeg would turn it down. Larsson is a rental so doesn't add much value and the Jets have zero need for JP. The first is nice but doesn't compensate the Jets enough for the age and skill difference.

HUGE overpay. Laine is the definition of a one dimensional winger. I wouldn't do Nuge for him one for one

Nuge: 147, 50-80-130 (T-37th in the league)
Laine: 150, 58-55-113 (62nd in the league)

Laine has a slight edge in goal scoring, but everywhere else RNH is the better player. Yup, this is an overpay - and so is that ridiculous $9.5M contract.
