OTT has no interest in Koskinen.

Im not saying hes a bad goalie, just that combining his age/contract with where OTT is in the rebuild means we wont be paying draft capital for him.

2022 2nd and Nygard for Murray? How does that even remotely help Pittsburgh?

And then you turn around and say Koskinen is worth a 2020 3rd -- which I consider a more valuable asset than anything going to Pittsburgh there

Pittsburgh is listening but you’re not there yet.

Either a first or a 2nd and a legit prospect instead of nygard should get you there

I think that's because Koskinen is a better NHL goalie than Murray

Wasn’t sure but Koskinen has clearly been more successful, especially in the playoffs. It’s a wonder why any Edmonton fan would put him in a trade

You seriously think a 31 year old with a career 909 and 97 games under his belt is more valuable than a 25 year old with a career 915 and 117 games and 2 cups under his belt

This website is in for a rude, rude awakening next season when Matt regresses back up to his average

Playoff wins = team stats
SV% = goalie stat

Murray will only get you more playoff wins if he comes with Crosby, Malkin, and Letang. And I don't recall Murray playing too well against the Habs either.

again, cups = team stat
Murray was lucky enough to be playing under a great team. That team didn't do as well this season, so his numbers went down
Koskinen's numbers were down last season because his team stank. They got a little better, so his numbers have also gone up

And Howard was ECHL tier this year

I don't think Winnipeg would move Laine if the main piece coming back is a rental.

Kostkinen is not more valuable or better than Murray. 31 year old vs 25 year old. Murray’s played more NHL games and has a better career average in the NHL.

Mikko did a great job in the KHL but that doesn’t make up the gap in value

Cups being a team stat doesn’t negate the rest of what’s in there. Murray has outperformed Mikko through their NHL careers, by a significant amount.

I’m not even sure Howard is ECHL level lol he’s so bad

Koskinen has a higher GSAx but agree to disagree I guess. We'll see next season.
That goalie tandem still doesn't solve things though. We're right back where we were last season. An average goalie and a **** goalie sharing games.

Columbus isn't accepting Russell when we've already got a 10-deep pool of defensemen. Thinks for thanking of us, though.

Trying to think of a good goalie who could come cheap for one year until EDM finds a legit backup that’s not close to retiring. Howard could have a huge bounce back year but tough to tell. He’d come very cheap and has a lot of experience.

Murray has a career .921 in the playoffs, how’s that for a goalie stat. He wasn’t their problem against Montreal

It was I was trying to expand on what you were saying. You and I are in clear agreement that Murray is a very valuable goalie
