Looks pretty low-risk for Montreal.

Taking Okposo completely screws them when Laine needs a new deal in 1 year

Take out Okposo and add Copp and it's fair, Buffalo shouldn't trade Eichel but it is a pretty solid offer, could maybe lower that 2021 1st to a 2nd or something but I wouldn't split hairs over that if the Sabres were insistent on getting another 1st.

I've thought of pretty much this exact same trade but the Sabres would likely want a top center prospect and the Jets just don't have that therefore if Buffalo was willing to trade Eichel the Jets probably aren't a good trade partner, if getting a good center prospect back isn't a main priority then the Jets could probably offer them an appealing package.

I agree with taking out KO and adding Copp. It's a steep price, but market value for EIchel

Would make that trade for Eichel without a second thought.

I think to get the better player you are going to have to take Okposo...with Scheifele you now have the 1-2 punch at center. If the cap doesn't work do you still need Wheeler, he's 34? Maybe you take out a piece and add Wheeler. At least this gives the Sabres a center back and they are still in search for a center but now have some pieces to offer in a trade. Maybe I'm crazy lol
