Nothing in that offer is good enough as a main piece for Laine and the Jets won't trade him for quantity. No from Winnipeg

Paul Byron is not a bad contract, he does a lot of things right, he's a great PK person, plays with an edge, and is really fast. He has the speed to keep up with McDavid to give you guys a lot of 2 on 1's.

A couple reasons

1. Its helping a division rival navigate the cap. If you cant sign a good UFA, thats good for Ottawa

2. Its 7.5 million dollars

3. Its literally just a 4 round upgrade. Thats nothing.

To dump Alzner, you will need to offer at least a 2nd round pick and get nothing back

No thanks. Caufield is ranked the 4th best drafted prospect outside the NHL. No chance MTL trades him. Especially not with the 16th overall pick, Domi and Mete. Switch Caufield for Danault
