Laine is likely on his way out. What would it take to acquire him? Domi would give a solid second line centre who pushes the play along with Fluery who can play a bottom pair right d role where they have not much. The first and second are both high picks

I think he could/should draw more assets but his poor playoffs and UFA status don’t help. I think he should get a first + but this would be an ok return for the Habs IMO

Pretty much all Winnipeg fans in here say it would take Suzuki or KK + which isnt happening so I doubt Laine to MTL is happening

Also think Tatar goes to who ever offers a 1st and prospect for him

It’s true. Neither of those are moving from MTL. I wonder if the ask is too high for Laine, if WPG looks to move Ehlers or Connor instead. They have excess wingers and need help down the middle and on the back-end. I could see the above move being reworked for one of those guys. I think Domi at permanent C especially with strong wingers can get back to the 60-70 point range.

You Habs fans are crazy man, one click bait tsn board goes up and you people go nuts! At least put together a fair offer. In a Laine deal, one of Suzuki or Romanov has to be coming back period. I know you guys don’t like that, but it’s the reason big trades don’t happen very often. Teams have to compromise! If there’s no Suzuki or Romanov, there’s no deal, end of story.

I feel like I’m watching leafs fans make Johnsson + Liljegren for Parayko trades all over again.

Habs-Jets trade history: Steve Mason, Joel Armia and two draft picks were traded to the Montreal Canadiens by the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday for defenseman Simon Bourque.
Maybe Habs fans are overconfident due to trades like this.

No chance Winnipeg considers Domi in any trade with his current contact status and agent.

I mean, you guys won that trade so hard lol, i still can’t believe they used Armia in a cap dump 😂😂

I mean leafs fans and habs fan are like this with every trade, idk why I’m surprised.

There was also this Habs-Jets trade: Robert Picard was traded to the Winnipeg Jets by the Montreal Canadiens for Winnipeg's 3rd round choice in the 1984 Entry Draft, November 4, 1983. Montreal would use that draft pick to select goaltender Patrick Roy, who would go on to a Hall of Fame career.
