Oilers aren't doing that, just creates big holes in their lineup for one guy, not worth it nor is Laine worth that much.

IF we can get RNH and Nurse resigned for a reasonable amount (I would insist on a sign and trade beforehand) I think this could turn into a good trade for Winnipeg. We fill 2 needs with C and D and get a 14OA which could turn into one of Mercer/Jarvis/Schneider, and that’s on top of our 10OA (Perfetti/Sanderson/Lundell/or my dream of Drysdale or Rossi falling). Next years 1st rounder could be anywhere from 10-25OA is my guess.
I know it’s a quantity offer and Peg fans are wanting a quality 1-1 trade, but this one of the better ones I’ve seen.
That said, Edmonton rejects.

Edmonton doesn't have anything that they would be willing to move that Winnipeg would consider for Laine.

Hahaha, fair...Laine could just call up JP and be like "Hey man, come back to Edmonton and we'll play some fortnight together. Won't have to worry about my $hitty Winnipeg internet if we're shacked up together in the same condo in Edmonton!"
