CH moves to be back on track

Created by: NickDerose
Team: 2020-21 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 8, 2020
Published: Sep. 8, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
1. I move Charlie Lindgren because we don't have space for him in the team for a 6rd round to EDM.
2. We need to add punch in offense without spend to much on him in salary and in trade assets, so I think Ryan Poehling and a 3rd round, a center vs a winger is fair to be made because EDM need to add back up in centerman with McDavid and Draisaitl.
3. We need to move Domi because we don't have space for an another center in the line up and it's where Domi made is 72 pts season. I guess a team like the Wild would be interessed in a centerman like Domi to rejuvenate the offense core. I add a defenseman like Mete and a 3rd round for the prospect Addison. Minnesota need to try a push now with the aging team for the playoff and maybe a Mete can give a 20 pts season with Hunt.
4. I will sign Krug to complete the puzzle of the missing Left Defenseman since the release of Markov. He will complete a huge forsome with Weber, Petry and Chariot.

I'd say that's about the contract Krug actually gets. See Jared Spurgeon for a good comparison-I just don't know if he'd come to the Habs.
Also, he'd definitely pair with Weber, allowing Petry to open up a little more with a rock of a partner in Chiarot.

Lindgren's numbers suggest that he's not even a quality AHL goaltender. I don't think Edmonton entertains that trade unless it's for Chiasson one-for-one.

As I understand, Lindgren is kept to meet Seattle expansion rule forcing every team to offert a goalie under contract or RFA at the end of next season.

Also, he's bad and nobody want him.

No, Lindgren contract finish next year so he will not be available anyway for Seattle
