Miller's the d-man they'd wanna keep on the right side. Risto or Montour are going.

So much disagreement on this question. What are the asking prices?

The people disagreeing with this are the same who hate Ristolainen but think they should get a massive haul for him. My advice is to look into it yourself. They all sorta need sheltered minutes but Miller makes the least of the three (after Montours QO) and has put up the best results in his career.

The ask for Risto is probably an impact forward, doubt they'll get it but thats the ask. Montour could probably be had for a cost effective reclamation project or draft pick(s)

Great question. Depending on who you ask you'll get wild differences. I think Sabres would be happy with a 2nd for either (or equivalent). Any less than that, especially for Risto, they probably keep him. I could see a Kempny for Montour deal.

I like it overall but I really want Sprong in the lineup. Love him.

Thanks, guys!!! As far as just adding a right shot puck mover for the third pair and second power play unit, I don't really see a difference between the three. Risto has the most power play experience, and can sort of kill penalties, but also has the highest cap hit. Miller used to have a reputation for mostly offense, and had kind of an off year last year, offensively. Surprised to see he's the keeper. Montour seems solid. Bottom six forward like Panik or Hagelin get him?

Thanks so much! He was the last guy I sent down to get under the cap. He'll be back up! smile

miller is the keeper because dahlin plays the best when he’s playing with miller and dahlin will develop the best when he’s playing alongside miller...i don’t think panik or hagelin get it done...want someone younger

Bufalo shouldn't have interest in either of those guys. Looking for someone younger with more upside. Even a project/change of scenery guy would be preferable (though Panik might be a Krueger guy so I wouldn't say never).

Travis Boyd? Plus any of the above three? For Montour? I dunno. You tell me.

I can't think of one at forward, in WSH. Sprong might fit the bill, but they just picked him up at the deadline, and probably are hoping the next coach lets him skate a bit. AFter missing half of the last two seasons with injuries, Johansen might fit that label, but he's another LHD, and arguably still a decent prospect. Mid-round pick(s) sounds fine, too.

Mid-round pick sounds about right. But Buffalo needs all the LHDs they can get right now. Dhalin, McCabe (who is more suited to a bottom pair & pk role) and then... Montour for Kempny probably makes more sense for Buffalo than a Panik/Johansen package.
