for the knights to resign him see him signing a three year 900-950 deal, he would ask for like 1.2 if he was in a high tax area but vegas has no state income tax.

No I meant to trade for him. Would it just take like a 3rd?

Way too expensive for a backup goalie for the Sabres.

I did expect it to be a Stasny to the Sabres trade. Which would still be a pass...

Whew that’s a ton of turnover and leaves a lot of young guys on the blue line....

The Sabres trade doesn't make sense for us. Ullmark is better, and we have much better uses of that cap space than a backup goalie. Frankly, I wouldn't take Fleury for free.

If Vegas is looking to dump cap, Stastny makes a whole lot more sense for Buffalo. Not sure what I'd give up for one year of him, but I'd at least be interested.

Why would you trade Holden and sign Sbisa who is barely NHL caliber? Sbisa had to sign a tryout contract because no team wanted him. This just seems like poor asset management to sign Pietrangelo when Statsny is 1 player at 6.5 mil instead of moving half of the blue line.

personally I prefer Sbisa to Holden, and what do you mean by poor asset management? Stasny is expiring after this year.

yep maybe, Coghlan I believe is NHL ready and Hague and Whitecloud have proven themselves, I'm not the biggest fan of Schmidt so I traded him to upgrade the PK with a really good two-way guy in Hyman and signed Petro to have arguably the best pair in the league in Theodore-Petro.

I just don’t see McPhee moving Schmidt. He has his ups and downs but perfectly capable 2nd line guy. Getting Petro would be downright outstanding. I do want to see Hague and Whitecloud pair up again at the big leagues. They looked great in Chicago together.

yep, 100% The Schmidt trade won't happen but that was just me having fun as a knights fan, we could see a Hague-Whitecloud pair next year. Fingers crossed
