I think if I'm Vancouver I consider it but I'd opt to find a better move. They don't need Bernier so they are basically losing demko and stretcher to dump erikson's contract. That's a hefty price after what demko just did in the playoffs.

Blues are a no. They have no need for pickard and a 1st to save 2 mill in cap space makes no sense. Imo 3rd round pick, maybe 2022 2nd but it's only if they have exhausted every option.

I think that the VAN trade is pretty fair. Although, 2 years of Loui Eriksson at 6 Million may require more from the Canucks. Stetcher is going to be a slightly overpaid #4-5 defensemen, as he requires a minimum qualifying offer of 2.325 Million.

Howard is going back to Upstate NY where he is going to open a Chevrolet dealership. He's not getting resigned in Detroit.

The Chevrolet dealership thing was a joke, of course but I did read in the Detroit Free Press that the rumor is that Yzerman is parting ways with Mr. Howard.

Ahh my apologies. Joke went right over my head. I think it is likely he doesn't return but wouldn't completely rule it out. With all of these cap strapped teams, I wouldn't be surprised to see Bernier moved at 50% and us in the position to have two goalie spots to fill.

The possibility of a Steen deal is pretty much dead now that we moved Allen without taking cap back.
