I like it. I woldn't play McMichael yet though unless he's getting top 6 center time. Playing him depth wing with no PP time would be hurtful to his development. Would rather have him just playing top center PP time in juniors.

There is no incentive for the Blues to consider that Dunn offer.

They get older and worse for a late second in two years and a very average prospect?

My main reasoning is if the Blues want to bring back Pietrangelo this would save them at least 2 mill in cap space while getting a serviceable defensemen back. However, I agree that AJF isn't a great prospect and that either a better prospect or a first instead of a second would be fair.

Doesn't have to be Chicago just any team for cap room.

I think if he's getting third line minutes and plays some powerplay time getting him around 12-13 minutes a game it would be a lot more beneficial for both him and the Caps as last year he already put up insane numbers in junior and I dont know how much more progression he could see dominating again.

Not at all sure how you figure that saves the Blues "at least 2M" and trading Dunn for an much older "serviceable" D-man is certainly not enticing. I think we'll just keep Dunn, thanks.

He's going to be 20 like a month after the season starts, so just have him make the roster (if he plays his way onto it in training camp) out of camp and get some early NHL minutes for 2020-2021 season, even if that means third line RW. If he struggles, then you can send him down to AHL Hershey a month into the season to get top C minutes there. This seems like a better strategy to me than another year of him playing vs helpless boys.
