Maybe overall career but MZ was way better last year imo. I wouldn’t make this trade if I’m the rangers. Both are underrated players.

Bro bro I was kidding MZ >>>>> PD ahah this is a troll post

Price never. Why won’t MTL fans understand he’s a good player his contract is toxic especially to a team like COL that has to sign everybody outside of Girard during the duration of Price’s contract. Gallagher on a team friendly contract MAYBE. Suzuki maybe.

When do capfriendly wannabe AGM will understand that Price have a huge value even if he’s overpaid ? He is still the best goalie in the league and giving up a good prospect for THE best goalie is nothing.

laugh laugh Weal+5th round pick is nowhere near enough to get Alex Newhook try Cole Caufield at least and Sakic still declines.

He isn’t the best goalie though is he? It isn’t 2015 and that contract no matter how much you try to down play it is decidedly not attractive especially in a flat cap environment.

3 years in a row the players are saying he is the best and every GM knows it. It’s just facts, I know is contract isn’t great, but let’s say you trade Newhook vs Price straight up, you’re almost guaranteed a cup or 2-3

Seriously. Weal and a 5th isn’t near Newhook ... captain obvious

Players are notorious for voting the status quo and not voting actual current results. That’s not just hockey but all sports. And acquiring Price guarantees absolutely freaking zip. See Avalanche this year, injuries happen and careless where when and who they happen to.

With a healthy Price, if you score 2 goals you’re almost certain to win the game
With COL offense, not a big deal

Except that career playoff GAA 2.43 and 30-36 record would disagree with you.

But in a vacuum where contracts don’t matter sure Price is somewhere in the top 8 ish (for what it is worth I have Gibson, Vasilevsky, and Hellebuyk as my current top 3 and imo Gibson and Vasilevsky are top 2). Do I think he would be dominant with the Avs yes. But his contract is so long and in a time where at best the cap is flat that’s a massive chunk of resources that teams aren’t going to want to be part of especially with more and more teams going 1a 1b because of injuries and schedules.
