I don't know a lot about the players on this team...
Question: are Seider and Zadina ready for a 82 games (or whatever it will be) season? If so no need to sign van Riemsdyk and Perlini

Do they sign Krug? What do you think?

NYR signs Lundqvist back to a cheaper contract (2M) so that he is the back up of Shesterkin for like the last two years of his career.

Perlini prob won't be qualified, zadina will be up all year and I can see seider doing the same.

Mantha gets between 7-7.5 a year

Bertuzzi gets between 5-5.5

You're probably right on Bert's contract but Mantha I'm thinking he's going to be 6.5

EDIT: I've heard a lot of people saying his closest comparable is Guentzel and he got 5 years 6 million

The only way I see him getting that is if he goes to arbitration and wins. Otherwise I think every team is going to be penny pinching a bit under the circumstances.

Also they better damn well not sign Krug to that crazy contract I don't even want him let alone for that contract it makes no sense to sign him. We are in a rebuild by the time we are good he's going to be a bad contract even at 7 million just because he's from Michigan doesn't mean we should sign him.

EDIT: But I am a Red Wings outside of Michigan so I am probably in the minority on this one.

Yeah, but then you can't sign him back.. I feel like the King deserves a better ending to his career

Yes but it wasn't initially the plan. Orpik didn't receive any other offers after some time.
