RW amp RD
Both points are certainly fair. When it come to Soderblom, outside of literally being a monster, he doesn’t play that way (yet?) and there are still some question marks with his game. Ton of injuries for Boqvist but seems like a guy who could potentially run the PP. Just throwing darts on a Sunday.

Helping NYR and signing Krug

Isn’t that what the CAPS did with ORPIK via the AVS In 18?

Cap Dumps Credit to Evan
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jfstompers</b></div><div>Idk has anyone taken such a big cash dump before. I cant really think of 1.</div></div>
Yeah I cant think of anything that was in the 9.25 neighborhood. Rangers might be the closest in 18 when they moved Nash and retained 3.9 & they also moved MacDonagh & Miller but the Wings don’t have those type of assets

Cap Dumps Credit to Evan
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BStinson</b></div><div>He’s a PP specialist signed for 3 more years until he’s 36 @5.75M. I’d wager his production goes down further throughout the contract. That coupled with retaining 3.5M for 2 years is like paying Neal 9.25M.</div></div>
So at the end of the day DET gives up 9.25 mil for 2 yrs, 5.75 in yr 3, and gets an aging winger, is that worth a 1sr & 2 2nds?
Yeah this is an unrealistic trade that wouldn’t happen but is the value way off?

Based on the comments above Wings fans & Oilers fans clearly value Neal differently.

Build from the backend Drysdale at 4OA
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BStinson</b></div><div>Tyler Johnson doesn’t fit our rebuild and Hronek for Sergachev is a lateral move. Factor in Hronek on an ELC vs. that 8x8 and this is pretty bad for Detroit.</div></div>
Can’t argue with the 8x8 (addressed in previous reply). Really just coming to terms with another 3 to 4 years of the rebuild and throwing ideas out about the backend. Sergachev, Seider and Drysdale seemed like a good start but not a hill I would die on by any means. If anything I’m still in the draft a forward at 4OA camp.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kotkaniemi15</b></div><div>Probably $4.5 million for 2 or 3 years. Simliar to McAvoy.</div></div>
That would work, leaves DET more cap space to maximize another deal or two over the next couple years.

That’s a fair assessment. What would you offer?

Keep Your Captain STL Flat Cap
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DiehardRedWingsFan58</b></div><div>Why would Detroit do that though? First off Pietrangelo isn't wasting his time on a 2 year deal. If St Louis can unload on Steen, Allen and Bozak which shouldn't be a problem. They can easily resign their Captain.</div></div>
The thought was keeping Pietrangelo, Steen & Bozak gave them a better shot at another cup over the next two years.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DiehardRedWingsFan58</b></div><div>:laugh :laugh Detroit sings Pietrangelo for 2x15 and retains $5m on the deal, And then gives up Cholowski and Glendening for Allen and Thomas. Yeah i doubt Pietrangelo would even sign with Detroit he sure as hell isn't signing for 2 years. Detroit not signing him just to trade him. This whole deal is simply ludicrous.</div></div>
2x10m retain 5m, STL gets him for 5m for the next 2 years.

Mantha to Montreal
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GMs</b></div><div>Take out Veleno because it’s ridiculous adding him, Romanov vs Mantha 1 for 1. Big risk on both side, I’m a MTL fan and I don’t want to trade Romanov but Mantha is a top6 big power forward. Drouin was a skilled top 6 winger when we traded him for Sergachev ... MTL needs to keep Romanov even if Mantha value is bigger than Romanov value</div></div>
It was really just an exercise on how much it would take to pry Romanov away from Montreal.

Vancouver Salary Dump at a Price
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Leafs_and_Sens_Fan</b></div><div>The value's close but I doubt Vancouver does that. They will have enough cap space next season. The only time they will have cap troubles is when Pettersson and Hughes comes off their ELCs.
It will be much cheaper to trade one year of Eriksson than 2 years of Eriksson plus Baertschi. Makes sense for Vancouver to wait a year.</div></div>
That’s a good point, was wondering if VAN lack of picks, as well as Fabbri helping them compete now might entice them to pull the trigger. I understand Fabbri’s success in DET is a small sample size.

If you think KH can sign the RFA’s and keep Neal on the books than by all means turn this down. I’m not sure there is room to get the RFA’s done or how many teams will be in the market for taking on Neal’s contract.
