Which means they are all ufas, and 3/5 years of decent hockey possibly, but zero team control and jets live and die with there team control or loyalty contracts or young guys who commit to Winnipeg. So none of these guys fit any of that, and gets rid of one guy who committed longterm and 3 guys with team control.

This trade would get them closer to the cup then they are now. Paying Laine 9+ when he comes do isn't going to help them fill holes.

They aren’t that close, they are at least two top end dman away with size and two centers and some size up front also. At best they are running fourth in central, the fanbase wants to try to further the last window instead of building for the next. They made a mistake longterming wheeler, they need a center to grow with laine and ehlers and a partner for morrissey or pionk, and possibly move one if heinola coming fast. They can’t beat anybody still playing right now, trend is heavy, so they are going to have to get tougher to play against.

That is not anywhere close to getting that package. And that’s an absolute understatement. Seriously, Chevy should be fired immediately for considering that.
