I think the big thing is there's no need for 7 years of hall. It's short term or probily not going after him for colorado. It hurt us with calvert out in the playoffs for sure, but i agree we could use one more person who finishes checks up front. If they don't landy hall in free agency maybe they grab killorn and someone else through trades, maybe if tampa is in serious cap restraints we take both killorn and palat for a prospect and a pick.

That's a massive, massive overpay for Graves. More than Bura? Just silly. He wilted in the playoffs; not worth the long-term deal at that rate ($4.75x5?!?!?!?! Really?!?!?!?!). That Hall contract is going to prevent them from signing Makar, Landy or Mac. And making the assumption that Byram is ready is a big leap - he made progress this year but it is TBD if he is ready for a full-time NHL gig. All around this is a recipe for cap hell in a year.
