Why so eager t ok move brown. It’s not like they’re in cap trouble and when his contract is up they’ll be fine. Habs don’t want him

King's aren't moving that far back without big blue chip prospects come back two or three of : Primeau, Romanov, and Suzuki are coming back, plus your first.

Good mtl picked KK 3rd overall 2 drafts ago. There’s no way they send that package to anyone for a pick

Yep. To be clear I think the Kings would need to trade Kupari, an early 2nd round pick, and 2OA just to move up to 1OA (not that I want that, and it's probably still not enough for the Rangers). It's expensive as hell to move up to this high and the Kings aren't even staying in the top 10 with this offer. The compensation price is steep, that's why no one ever pays it.

There’s a lot of teams that throw away that 1st rd pick near the deadline because it gives them the feeling it puts them over the top going into the playoffs. But now that they’re all in draft mode those 1sts are heavily considered more valuable

I mean they are, but those picks in the top 3-5 are nearly untouchable if all that is coming back is a lot of picks beyond 15 overall. Dustin Brown is fine, the Kings are the last team that needs a cap dump. What we need is an elite player like Byfield or Stutzle, unless you can package a guy like that , why would the Kings be interested in any offer?

I don’t know I didn’t make the offer. Kk is nhl ready now why would the Habs go backwards and send all those picks with him to wait for Stuetzle to develope

Yeah I don't get it for a team that is better poised to compete now like Montreal over the Kings whose real compete years are next year at best. And seriously not to be condescending, but I prefer the upside of a Byfield or Stutzle over KK at this point, we have the time to develop those players and think that would be best.
