Kapanen?

Feel that was more hockey trade than a traditional dump(eg. Marleau)

Arizona gives up the better, cheaper, signed to longer term goalie and their only RHD signed past next season for a 3rd goalie and Jeremy Bracco. Oh yeah. And a 6th rd pick. Probably pass.

Probably puts Cernak right in the range that TB can match.

DeMelo takes that contract in Winnipeg if they offer it.

It’s the exact same thing. The truth doesn’t care about your feelings.
Marleau was traded to a team that had to buy him out, let him go and take on his full cap hit. What the hell does that have to do with these players.

What I meant was kapanen is still a solid young second line player whereas marleau was essentially at the end of his road in his career. When I think pure salary dump I think of trading hot garbage contracts

Kappy was a 3rd liner who is not so great with the puck. Johnsson was the top 6 winger.... much better with the puck. Dubas literally said he was moved to create cap space.

I don’t see how any of these players are “cap dumps” none of them are on bad contracts.
