Love the Leafs trade. But yeah... he's not a top pairing guy and I love him too. He's got a lot of ways to go for that to happen. I'd look into signing Krug btw.

Totally agree about Dermott. I do think he could get a shot to play higher in somebody's lineup, but that's a stretch.

Don't get Daunault and don't resign Lemieux or DeMelo, Leafs could probably add Kerfoot iF you want a 2C so bad and he won't cost a 1st, there's cheaper guys you get for 4th line/3rd pair. Dermott also isn't getting north of 2 mill imo. Maybe 1.5?

So the trade is Dermott and Kerfoot for Georgiev and Rangers 3rd.

All that saves around 7 mill after the depth signings/callups

Man that Rangers trade is tempting because Georgiev is still young and likely can play the starting position in Toronto, but still as more of like a 1A 1B situation with Campbell.
