He always goes to ltir, we can sign some other holdover for now, not giving up picks for 5/6 dmen that won't help our rebuild to put a bandaid on this season

Cgy probably doesn't need more wingers unless they plan on moving Johnny, and while the deal is fine I think Tor might be able to find better options, as well as I really don't think Dubas is moving him.

Not sure if VGK really has interest in moving RR but maybe a more informed fan could correct me on that.

Askarov is not going to be NHL ready for probably at minimum 2 years so I wouldn't count on that and Car would likely want to send at minimum a goalie the other way.

Not sure why Carolina takes on 8M in a flat cap and doesn't give some back

Wings fans can keep their pick that's fine, but Dermott is ready for top 4 minutes as he proved that when Reilly and Muzzin both went down this season. He will get at least a 2nd and maybe a prospect depending on where the pick is in the second round.

What are you hoping to draft with a 3rd round pick that is better than a 23 yr old D-man who can log top 4 minutes? There's a 70-75% probability that 3rd round picks never see the NHL.

It's one thing if you don't need a young LHD-man, but you're over valuing what a 3rd rounder actually means to a re-build.

Good for you. The point was the odds are not in your favour that the individual chosen in that spot will ever make the NHL, let alone help you more than a 23yr old who's already shown he's a regular NHLer.

We're all entitled to our own opinion....doesn't make any of us right
