As Schenn was playing LW STL get Domi as 2C as Thomas need more time. Armia would take quality cheaper RW spot and Kulak for D-Depth moving puck, and Poe + 2nd to balance and give little more value

Domi's 25, he's not a short term spot filler, especially on the next contract he would want.

and you definitely don't get Tarasenko for that, injury or not... if he's injured, LTIR and St-louis free's up space without paying.

Value: Domi, Armia, 2nd is not enough? Do StL still want to sign Pietro? if NOT I understand that STL are not in a cap crunch anymore

The Blues cap crunch is overstated and this trade wouldn't do much to solve it anyway. You're sending about $4.5m + Domi.

If the Blues are trading Dunn then the return I'm looking for is a pick in the 15-22 range and a good prospect, something that seems widely offered on here. Wouldn't have any interest at all in something like Poehling, Kulak and a late second... it doesn't help the Blues.

Domi and Armia for Tarasenko? If Domi was signed to an amazing contract? It wouldn't be an outlandish offer given the circumstances. Otherwise, Armia is likely a rental and the next Domi contract is a risk. I'd rather just gamble that Tarasenko will return to health.

pretty sure st louis cant trade tarasenko till he passes a physical post surgery anyways and that on top of them not doing that deal from a pure value perspective. That pick would either need to be a 1st or a 1st and a 2nd, probably also need to include a d prospect, Kulak played good for the 10 playoff games but had he not he would be trying to crack anothers team bottom pair come training camp, he doesnt bring much value in this deal.

Yes but Armia can sign an extension around 3M a year if he fit well in STL... Domi get's them youth and STL would have room for Pietro crazy deal..
but I agree that Tara would need a green light from the Doc

Don't like it for STL. Can't really trade Tarasenko when he's injured unless they're selling extremely low and that would be unwise. Thomas doesn't need more time, he's already better than all the pieces MTL is giving in this trade - outscored Domi at 5v5 this year. He's easily grabbing 2c or 2rw spot.

I could see a Domi-Dunn deal from a value perspective but then the Blues have a big hole at LHD and too many guys trying to play center.

I would agree with that logic if Dunn wasnt also in the deal. I think Domi, kulak Poehling n 2nd+ is whats needed to get Tarasenko, Armia would need probably a first to match Dunn.
