his contract is one of those that pays more salary than the cap hit, plus gm’s know the isles are against the wall. Wouldn’t say no to something of note for him, though

I get that boychuk feels like a necessary cap dump but to be going into a season with no 1 or 2 for the next 2 years is exactly how teams handcuff themselves and find themselves in holes they can’t get out of
