I think Florida should get a little more back. maybe like a 2nd or something like that. I’m not quite sure what.

Also, Cody Ceci.... he’s not worth 5 mil. maybe 2, if he’s lucky lol. and definitely not a top pairing guy.
If you trade Ekbald, you’d want to sign a guy like Brodie, or maybe even Pietro if you really wanted. but Cody Ceci is not the guy you want.
However, I would love to see Huberdeau-Barkov-Laine.

If you can play Ceci 25 minutes a night, you should have no problem getting Aaaaaatu. (Though, apparently there are players who are above him now...). I mean, look at that cap space! Go get Zaitsev and Kris Russell!

I don't think Florida can afford to move Ekblad. They have nothing to replace him.

Florida should get a little more as Ekblad is the most valuable piece in this trade. As for the defense you go out and get Petro or offer sheet a young RFA (highly unlikely).

Well, you never know with UFA. Typically players get a lot more than what they are worth. So it would not surprise me. Reason that Ceci would be coveted by the Panthers would be for defense only. They are in need of a defensive dman that can cover for Yandle's mishaps. He is still fairly young, and could work out well. Brodie is offensive minded and wouldn't work out with Yandle. Pietrangelo will get an albatross of a contract.
