Detroit declines, Even JVR at 3 x $6,000,000 is a no go you'd have to pay us to take him not the other way around.

Take out the 3rd and maybe. I just can't see Detroit giving up 2 pick or anything over a 4th when van Riemsdyk is a UFA at the end of next season.

I can only presume you're joking? JVR was on a 50 point pace this year in a down year. He's overpaid but let's not make out he's trash.

I am not joking,7M for a guy whose was a healthy scratch multiple times this year and in the playoffs. You can keep that horrible cap hit if you aren't adding a gigantic major piece for us to take.

I don't think anyone is giving you a deal that rich. A number 2 overall pick (who admittedly has questionable value right now), a 1st round pick top 3 defender, a blue chip 1st round pick centre, and a 1st round pick... So just 4 first round picks? I think that's a long stretch for Winnipeg to demand.

He was a scratch because we have wingers who fit better in our new system under AV. Again, he had a down year and put up a 50 point pace. He was injured in the regular season, scratched in the playoffs when he clearly didn't get going. The same could be said for most of the Flyers team. If you honestly don't think any team would take a 50 point middle six winger around the 6 million mark I think you might need wider perspective.

The red wings are not one of those teams
