Yeah it’s not better because you traded good players for meagre returns..?

Maybe I am missing the joke or the sarcasm but it looks like a significant upgrade in every way to me. I honestly have no idea how possible/realistic any of this team trades or signings are (despite all the smarmy condescension on here GM's in the league are unpredictable) , but I love it to be honest. I'm sure there will be a few truthers out there who will nitpick based upon ill informed opinion or just different values/priorities but objectively it sets them up for a much stronger future, far more balanced and consistent FWD group, the D not only is super solid, the G position is a bit above average which is all they'd need (more importantly, cost effective) plus it has a natural succession plan.

I appreciate it, but after working on it and reviewing changes and the end result I honestly felt this wasn't an improved lineup.

That's too much from Minnesota. Take out Kunin or add something equivalent from Calgary. Minnesota isn't adding much, if anything, to get Monahan.

"Felt" is rarely a good measurement. This Team is easily +15-20 goals year over year, much better offensively & defensively (the only drawback is MAYBE the PP), it's younger, faster, bigger, tougher & and is much harder to match up against than the last iteration. To be clear; I don't see this as likely to transpire, and I am firmly in the Flames should be focusing on rebuilding instead of pretending they are close to something that they aren't. That said, if all of this were to be possible, I would be ecstatic and put some serious money on them being top 3/4 in the conference.

How about a solid (projects middle 6 or 4/5/6 D) LD or C prospect or 2nd/3rd round pick??

Is that what Calgary is adding or what you want to replace Kunin with?

What Calgary would be able/willing to add. Preferably a 2nd/3rd round pick
