It wasn't that he "couldn't trade Hornqvist" it was that he couldn't get value for Hornqvist. & he didn't. He took on a worse contract at a position where Pittsburgh is already in a log jam and a bottom 6 forward. How is that a win at all?

But he had a no trade clause. We will miss Hornqvist. Hopefully Matheson will fit in well with our up tempo system.

Pittsburgh got awful value for Hornqvist. That was the issue. & it turned out to be true.

Pens got a guy who has the potential to be a very good top 4, for a cap dump. Pens fleeced Florida. Keep hating away

Keep living in La La Land. Matheson has potential to really break out in Pittsburgh but you’re too stubborn / unintelligent to realize it. And comparing him to JJ is ridiculous. JJ can’t even skate or move the puck. You don’t know a thing about either D so quit commenting BS.
