There's absolutely no reason for the Sens to acquire Neal, let alone pay for his rights. James Neal's contract is bad, it's flat and it's too much for his production levels. Ottawa has been dumping older player, bad contracts for draft picks. They aren't going to suddenly trade a draft pick for an older player with a bad, flat contract, and in serious decline.
