Because spending 4 million for a guy to score 1 goal a year gets you into the playoffs? Anderson is grossly overrated

Johnsson=Anderson
Liljgren > Savard after a bad year from Savard and because he has one year left on his deal
Korpisalo > Dermott

So I mean it depends on the gap between Liljgren and Savard compared to the gap between Korpisalo and Dermott.

Calgary doesn't even consider touching that btw

You’re not considering Liljegren’s potential tho. And Anderson won’t be there to score goals but to play the style of hockey the leafs desperately need. Anderson has the potential to score 10-18 or even 20 depending on the chemistry

Stop talking about the ridiculous ceilings on your prospects if you’re not willing to invest in them yourself. There’s a reason I don’t want NYR to trade our prospects yet, because there’s still lots of time to develop to their ceilings

I never said Liljegren has a ridiculous ceiling. He does have potential being one of the most effective Dmen in the AHL last year. But the Leafs need to shed money and have holes to fill. You need to give to get

I’m not even going to comment on value.... I’m just going to clash Columbus has no interest in this trade.... we don’t exactly need another middle 6 wing, Liljegren would be nice, but he’d only be 2nd or 3rd pair in Columbus and we really have no use for a LHD as that would give up 11 LHD who have NHL experience....

Also any trade that involves Korpisalo would be as a package for a 2nd line center. We have no reason to move either of our goalies at this point so we aren’t moving them for less.

Also if you hit the quote button you quote the comment you want to reply to, makes it easier to communicate.
