It's about 2 more million than the Staal contract and rangers paid only a 2nd. Consider it an upgrade

Not at all nearly 7 million to score only 47 points and he's getting old. Hornqvist was always on pace or actually got about 55ish points and he cost 2 million less, also aging, his return was way worse than this.

Why would you be trading for him then lmfaooo. He doesn't make 7 mil. He got hurt and would have easily had 30 goals. A 30 goal scorer with size and speed for 3 garbage cans. Keep smoking that weed

O% chance this is happening. Matheson signed for 6 years and jj signed for 3 more. Staal has 1 year left. The trade would be

Pahlson + poj + 2021 first + 2022 1st

He actually averages around mid 20s in goals. 6.5 million is nearly 7 million. I never said he's getting paid 7 million. Nearly 7 million doesn't mean 7 million.

Obviously it's not happening it's just for fun. No one believes in Rutherford anymore.

Detroit takes on two poor defenseman for long term for a future first rounder three drafts away? You guys are going to have to sleep in the bed you made.

Just cause Rutherford who's got about 5 years before he croaks is getting fleeced doesn't mean other teams will. Kreider can get you a 1st rounder tonight if they wanted to trade him.

No thanks, at all on any of those.
Rangers will not trade Krider within the division.
JJ will cost about a second and third to move given that whatever team takes him on as their cap dump will also use him as their sacrifice to Seattle next offseason, and if no team wants him he is buried in the AHL and then used as the Penguins sacrifice to Seattle.
And what purpose does Tuch serve on this team? Especially dumping POJ AND MM for him? Our top 6 is already cemented pretty well with Zuck, Rust, Guentz, Malkin and Sid and most likely Kappy. So why bring in Tuch?

Maybe if a team is desperate enough but not likely he would want to waive for a desperate team

Because that top 9 is way better than anything we're going to have. If you pay close attention to what I did that top line is very very similar to the Kunitz Crosby Dupuis line that dominated the league for years.

But Zucker and Guentz really arent built to play the more up and down Grindy type of third line role. Guentz is a goal scorer with pretty good to great playmaking skills. While that might work for some puck possesion on the third line I dont really see it playing out that way. And Zucker is just a speed demon and sniper from what we saw once he got here.

Hey listen I just tried to create a modern era Kunitz Dupuis line for Crosby. And guentzel and rust played great with Malkin this year. And Zucker and kapanen are solid two way players to play with a solid two way center like Eakin who can also win a lot of faceoffs. No way we have a team that solid with the apocalyptic trades going on

Honestly this team is better off tearing down and rebuilding instead of giving away every single first for patchwork.

Matheson, McCann and Kreider aren't getting moved.
