Sens 2021-22

Created by: Kellz96
Team: 2021-22 Ottawa Senators
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 3, 2020
Published: Oct. 3, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Looking forward to next season where the team should at least be starting to compete and win. Taking on a couple bad contracts allows the team to gather more assets and also in the process adds veteran leadership. While I’m not a huge fan of the idea of trading for Murray, if the price is right I can see why it would be an okay move at a relatively low cost. As far as contacts go I tried to make conservative estimates, and had Brady signing a bridge deal. Thought Blake Coleman would be a great pickup as well in 2021.

Byfield would give us a solid 1C but Stutzle would be so fun to watch. I’m really torn on who I hope drops to us

I would love to see Byfield down the middle but just can’t see LA passing on him, I’ll be happy either way though

Stutzle + Raymond are both going to be such exciting players to watch. Both major hype players

The Sens wouldn't give up a player like Logan Brown in a cap dump trade? You could drop him from the deal and that's more like it; adding Brown is ridiculously absurd.

Well, if you strip down the trade it is more Wilde for Brown and Boychuk for the 2nd, which in my opinion is not absurd. I think they might sell low on Brown but If they come out of this draft with an elite center prospect he could easily be expendable.

Interesting. Isles would clearly say yes to this, even though we don't have much need for Logan Brown.
