Detroit isn’t giving you a 3rd for an AHL player

Detroit isn't doing that. Bracco is a suspect moreso than a prospect.

Why pay a 2nd and a 6th to the Blues for Pietrangelo's rights. It's probably better to just sign him to seven years since the deal probably won't be good on the 8th year anyway (and before as well)

Ya, that's what I was going to say. The rest is good though.

One what planet does Detroit give up a 3rd round pick for a career AHLer and a 6th round pick?

Was thinking it would lower the average from 9m+ and increase chance to sign

Yeah but I feel like it would be better to just pay him more for 6-7 years and not have a cap dump situation at the end. I don't know

Yzerman is trying to accumulate draft picks. Not trade them away. That's why he took the Marc Staal cap dump for a year. He bought himself a second round pick.

The Leafs never even listed Bracco on their Playoff bubble Roster. That should tell you what they think of him. I'll be surprised if Dubas qualifies him.

He's an ahl bum. Instead of trading him with a 6th for a 3rd, trade him for a 6th
