I know Vegas isn’t in the Seattle expansion draft. That’s why I said the leverage changes back to Vegas going into the draft. They’ll be able to get players for pennies on the dollar from GMs that don’t want to lose players for nothing.
Example: What Bill Guerin did today. He traded Kunin for Bonino, a 2nd and a 3rd. If Bill is planning on protecting 8 and 1, Kunin is gone for nothing. He got some value, but a very good trade for Nash. Now either Greenway or Soucy is next in line to Seattle. MN can handle losing either. Vegas will be able to take advantage of that type of trade with a lot of GMs next summer. Take the asset loss now with a MAF trade. Keep your contending roster intact for this coming season and recoup the assets next summer.

The people posting Vegas retains 3.5 aren’t understanding what’s being reported. It’s the “middle man” team that retains the cash. But to get rid of Fluery ( whole cap) is going to cost at least a first and it would be worth it to Vegas.

Liked that buffalo deal I saw that has Fleury with a 1st going there for Hutton. I think Fleury would waive to get starts anywhere at this point.
