You’ll need to add a bigger piece for Winnipeg to take Stasny.

Martinez will get more or less the same return as Maata if going to Philly maybe you wont have to retain money as its only a year deal. Flyers wont give up much. Other teams are better fits

Schmidt will probably need to have a million retained as that's a BIG long contract.

No team is retaining for 5 years.

Don’t really care about the return on Martinez. We’ve already burned so many picks between the Lehner, cousins and Martinez deals. I don’t care what team takes him

5 years at 1 million. These times. Yes. Leafs retained more on the Kessel deal

Greiss wont sign for anything less than 3.5 million. Nosek isnt taking a pay cut. Those contracts aren't realistic

Fixed. Minus the retaining, I think we can find a suitor for Nate

You don’t want to see any more “crazy trades” on CapFriendly, but you’re willing to have your team have real cap hits of 2.58, 3.08, 2.08 and 2.08 for the next 4 years due to a MAF buyout? Just give up the 1st or a top prospect. Don’t subtract several pieces from a very good team. Right now Vegas doesn’t have leverage if they want to improve. That changes going into the Seattle expansion draft. Make it up then.

I personally would keep Martinez and move Holden, either way play Theodore on the right.

That is nit picking though. The real question is what in God's holy name is Schuldt doing on an active roster. Take him out to the desert and do what the mobsters did and burry him.

Yes I’d rather buy him out then gift someone picks. That’s me personally. If you’re using picks, get assets, don’t give them away....

Vegas also doesn’t participate in the expansion next year

I know Vegas isn’t in the Seattle expansion draft. That’s why I said the leverage changes back to Vegas going into the draft. They’ll be able to get players for pennies on the dollar from GMs that don’t want to lose players for nothing.
Example: What Bill Guerin did today. He traded Kunin for Bonino, a 2nd and a 3rd. If Bill is planning on protecting 8 and 1, Kunin is gone for nothing. He got some value, but a very good trade for Nash. Now either Greenway or Soucy is next in line to Seattle. MN can handle losing either. Vegas will be able to take advantage of that type of trade with a lot of GMs next summer. Take the asset loss now with a MAF trade. Keep your contending roster intact for this coming season and recoup the assets next summer.

Listen if we don’t have to retain, that’s one thing, but seeing these retain 3.5 and give up and 1st and 2nd? No. Just buy him out.

The people posting Vegas retains 3.5 aren’t understanding what’s being reported. It’s the “middle man” team that retains the cash. But to get rid of Fluery ( whole cap) is going to cost at least a first and it would be worth it to Vegas.

Makes my MAF and 2020 1st for Stalock look pretty reasonable. I’ll amend it to a 2021 1st.

Liked that buffalo deal I saw that has Fleury with a 1st going there for Hutton. I think Fleury would waive to get starts anywhere at this point.
Vegas has 3 top 2 round picks already in 2021 and should get more assets before the expansion as they can leverage teams.. Be done with the Fleury mess now!

That one is fine too. It’s just when they throw Tuch in lol.

But yes, fleury at this point wants to finish 3rd all time in wins. Can only do that with starts
