Initial Creation Date: Oct. 8, 2020
Published: Oct. 8, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
3 players reportedly not tendered qualifying offers. I doubt all three come to Det but all three def need to be approached. Personally, I’d like all three but Duclair is by far my fav of the bunch. I’m prob low on all three offers too but I went off Doms projected values..

Don’t think they’re going to rush him.. depends on if there is an AHL season this year. If there is, I can see him playing all but a 20 games there, if not then they prob bring him to the NHL.

duclair is no gem.
Kahun is a decent bottom 6 forward. I wouldn't hand him that kind of contract though. That's a 20 goal winger contract. He's not that.

Yzerman indicated that If there is no AHL season and he doesn’t make the team out of camp he will be playing in Europe.

Koekkoek is solid but you can get him for less than 3 mil and I wouldn't recommend him In your top 4

Do you know what the general consensus on his next contract is?

I'm thinking 4-5 years between 4.5-5.25 million per.

That kinda contradicts your last statement... so more or less than $3?

By sending him to the SHL, he’s already locked in til their season ends

lol sorry I got confused because I'm talking to a different guy about saad. My bad. For Koekkoek probably 1-2 years and 1-1.5 mil per.

I hadn't realized that he had already been sent/loaned.
