2 offer sheets and a trade

Description
Based on Kubalik deal, DeBrusk and his not so great year, helps the team and signs for$3M

Offer sheet for Sergachev has a $7M 3rd year to set qualifying offer. It costs the Bruins aa 1st and 3rd compensation. I think he signs the offer but Johnson to waiver may screw this up allowing them to match. Bs need a replacement #1 left D as much as than anything right now.

Grze signs for 2x his current salary.

Offersheet Dunn, costing a 2nd round pick in 21. Right now STL is $500k over cap. Dunn projects to be a 2nd pairing D and with expansion draft, he will have that role in Boston, or be picked to play in Seattle. He probably signs that (and the Bs can go a little more on the deal too, depends how close to cap hit they want to be.

Buying out krejci gives money to get depth on the RW with Toffoli. Accelerates the team plans by 1yr leaving the option of flipping Coyle and Studnicka between 2nd/3rd centers.

So what you blow a 1-3 in 1 year, you get 2 Gauranteed NHL players who can carry 1-2LD, with plenty of cap space to lock down 1-2RD in the next 2yrs as well. Picks are gambles. These can be your guys. Blow 1 year, set the team up to win for a bunch of years and get the team you could have drafted in 2015.

Vancouver needs a RD and Lauzon was a standout. Some work needed but makes that deal interesting. Kase could eventually be what Boeser is now, but was not as gifted offensively. Chelarik is a big LW that is log jammed with the Bs. Feels like an overpay so maybe it’s a sweetener for them if needed.

Dunn will probably be in the 2.5-3.5 range. Good number.

That Boeser trade isnt even close. Starts with Carlo and that doesnt make sense for the Bruins.

STL has the space to match that. I’d imagine a trade would be better.

Capdriendly said they are over by $500k?

Think you are low on Dunn and why not really put it to the Blues. 4.363094M is only a 2nd rounder some team with more cap space could easily go there for a 23 yr old 2nd pair d-man with upside. It would only be a bridge contract so they could easily trade him at the deadline this year or next and still recoup that 2nd round pick.

Steen's contract could be dumped with a sweetner (Wings have openly said willing to do so for the right price) then the Blues would simply match that 2.whatever offer sheet you threw.

Take far more then $6 million for Mikhail Sergachev to sign an offer sheet with Boston, Try more like $8 million and then he probably still declines.

I’m pretty sure they only have 1/3rd of the team under contract. Moore can play. Ritchie can be a 4th liner and protect Eichel. It’s not really that much of a dump. Maybe another team if Buf doesn’t want it.

He’in fir a pay fat but even beat writers in Tampa say he does a bridge deal around $5.5-6M. If you structure it right, his qualifying offer becomes that $7-8M so in 3yrs, he gets the 8x8 deal when hopefully teams have money.
