Kind of screwed

Created by: KingsLover
Team: 2020-21 New York Islanders
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 12, 2020

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
If the Boychuk deal is an overpayment tell me and Ill adjust. I just think since the Isles are so cap strapped if I were a rival GM id ask for as much as necessary to take on a Boychuk or Ladd contract.

The Islanders are going to re-sign Greene, no need of another depth D man

Would Melnyk do that or you saying still to Detroit?

Wilde isn’t really a need to Detroit as we have Hronek, Seider, Lindstrom, and Tuomisto all RD and under 22. Holmstrom is interesting otherwise just picks.

I think with what we’ve seen teams aren’t trying to take on multi year deals with decent chunks of cap. The asking for MAF (7M) was a first and a second plus VGK needed to retain 33%.

Probably just depends on the team for Wilde vs Holmstrom. Your current offer I wouldn’t do from a Detroit perspective.

Originally I thought of Ottawa, but they also have Lassi Thomson and Bernard-Docker.
