Apparently Vegas was trying to get a deal done and Tampa wanted Max Pacioretty retained but I don’t think it’ll happen anymore with the Pietrangelo signing but let’s for fun try
Johnson would have to be traded as well so probably heavy draft picks to move him as well
Sergachev and Cernak on one year deals till after the expansion draft, Cirelli bridges, Coburn on Robidas island

How's Vegas going to afford Stamkos full $8.5 mil cap hit while retaining $1.5 mil on Patches? Doesn't work cap wise for Vegas.

yeah, vegas is in enough trouble...and you cant just LTIR Johnson.

No one wanted Johnson on waivers, so I think it'll cost a good youngster. Earlier I proposed Johnson and RFA RD Cernak (I don't think he signs for just 1.5mil for 1 year when hedman, macdonaugh and sergachev get big bucks for long term) to Philly for a 2nd, prospects Wyatt Wylie and Isaac Ratcliffe and a bit more.

I think cernak gets about 2mil or more for say 3 years, hes what PHI needs, but for TB it brings in two good prospects, a 2nd and maybe another pick, but creates over 7mil in cap.

Doesn't mean Stamkos wont still get dealt, but it allows cirelli and sergachev resignings, also allows a UFA pickup on defense for 2-3mil, ceci, vatanen kind of pickup

As I have said both Gourde and Stamkos were asked to waive NTC .. not sure on Mc Donough but certainly possible..

This HAS to be done .. Stamkos isn't going to happen now with Vegas .. it done.
