Pesce plus 2 2nds doesn't get you Patrik Laine tons of teams could easily beat that offer. Besides the Jets are seeking LD help not RD help in any deal for Laine.

NJ needs RD over LD ... dont think this will work for them. Also PK comes off the books earlier.

The issue here is obviously going to be cap. Laine, Svechnikov, Hamilton all free agents next season, then Necas the season after. Canes probably aren't looking for add another big-time player at this point I wouldn't think.

This is kind of a mess. First you didn’t resign foegele or fleury who both certainly have roster spots. Laine is likely going to cost another significant piece. Jordan staal is not a cap dump, he brings way more to the table than his point total. The subban trade idk

Pass on any deal involving Paine for Pesce. We would need more Pesce's on the team to make up for Laine's lack of 2 way game.
