Columbus declines easily. Bjorkstrand is more important to them then futures. Columbus is trying to compete, this is a backwards move for them.

Caps trade is pretty fair, but unexciting. Eller's offense on the third line is kind of a secret weapon for WSH.

Laine eats $0.45m into Klefbom's LTIR money (as Edmonton has ~$700k left in cap space), but that still leaves $3.5m to sign both Bear and a free agent LHD like Koekkoek to short contracts. Could even buy out Chiasson to make Vatanen on a one year deal work. (If Barrie is only getting 3.75m on one year, then Vatanen will get even less.)

Would Roslovic for Jenner work straight up? Roslovic slides to 3C, or Nash slides to 3C and Roslovic takes the wing?

But now there's a Danish line. (Except, apparently, Columbus wouldn't do the deal.)

Possibly, but Nash and Jenner are projected 4th line imo. Folingo, Grigorenko, Koivu, Bremstrom, Foudy would be the projected players on the 3rd line....

Was just going off of capfriendly's depth chart. Logic remains that Roslovic could work on a soft minutes third line as a C or RW. smile

Yeah, and Columbus really doesn’t need that. Bremstrom has been killing it on Finnland and we have plenty of options. The only cool thing about Roslovic going to Columbus is that he’s from there.... otherwise there isn’t much of a fit.

The trade breaks down as a top 3 D 2 first rounders and a second round pick for Laine, Laine's not worth that much
