Wouldn’t it have just been easier to make an AGM and putting in the description that no one on the leafs is getting traded lol

I mean probably but if Jim Rutherford wants to trade us their 2023 1st for Travis Boyd I'm all for it

I'd be happy for Kappy, he wasn't going to do that in Toronto. Closest he came was 20 and he got lots of time with Matthews and Tavares.

For the record, I don't think he'll put up good numbers because I think he's at most a great 3rd liner who doesn't use his team mates well enough but Kunitz made a career just being that guy Sid banked shots off of so anything is possible with the Wizard of Cros.

He didn't do it here despite gobs of opportunities - he was a line killer. Nevermind all the off ice crap with missing practice and being generally lazy/inconsistent (resulting in a healthy scratch lol)

My bet is that Hallander and Amirov will eclipse his career goal totals (maybe even individually lmao), so I'm still satisfied with that trade

Even if they don't, for the price of one Kapanen, we got Vesey, Thornton, and Simmonds who bring gobs more to the team than just goals. Pretty good value imo - considering Vesey alone could replace his goal totals

I agree but some won’t see the bigger picture
