At first I was expecting to see buffalo getting pietrangelo pacioretty fleury marchessault and smith but ya sure I guess just fleury should make them complete if you’re happy with a shot at the lottery

This helps both.

But Buf doesn't need to pay picks as well as helping them with the cap.

If they need to use picks it should be to bribe someone to take Ristolainen so they can replace him with a NHL defencemen. Not a 5+ million AHL guy.

Probably. The only thing working in their favour is how bad Hutton was whereas fleury is a year off of a vezina worthy season so probably much more to offer. Doesn't work anyway as sabres used up much of that cap space they had.

Buffalo would take Fleury if Vegas took Okposo with Hutton, but they wouldn’t do that. Buffalo could not afford to take him on without that.
