Description

Assuming salary cap stays the same.
Im basing this post on MTL MAKING the playoffs. So keeping Tatar and Danault, rather trading them for assets. IF MTL misses, i think we would get a 1st for tatar and a 1st for danualt

Danualt and Tatar walk for other teams. Danualt wants to be a 1st line center, and tatar will try to chase money if he has another solid season
KK on 2 year bridge to prove he can be a 1B center (2nd line center)
Lehkonen is a solid 3rd liner. Hope MTL can keep him, but don't overpay
Armia signs similar contract he is on
MTL in my opinion needs 1 BIG UFA signing to push over top. Hoffman will sign a 1 year this year with someone, then mtl makes a push next off season to sign (sign tatar and danualt gone)

Taylor Hall would be available next year and a better option also around that price tag. Hoffman is overpaid here. Also Edmundson or Chairot likely gone to Seattle in the expansion draft

As a Detroit fan I'd take the Kulak trade but Detroit isn't the right fit for Byron.
