if someone was going to give him 3 mil he'd already be signed.
Right now teams are talking about league min contracts if you want to joint.
You got basically Hoffman getting low balled at this point. To think someone is paying 3 mil per here isn't going to happen.

I think Granlund is a great fit for Pitt and I really hope they get him. I think they would try him at C though on the third line to start. If not there then likely on Malkins wing and move Rust to 3RW.

He would also play on the top PP.

They ARNT trading C.Sceviour b4 he plays 1 game with the Team. He is penciled in as our 4th Line RW until ZAR is back and healthy.

And at worst they will bury Sceviour’s contract in the AHL and only take a 125k cap hit. You have 500k left In your cap right now with this situation and you accrue more during the season b4 the trade deadline. And Sceviour’s expiring contract at the trade deadline will have some value to teams out of contention.

And Granlund is t signing for 3M a year. It will be b/ween 1.3M and 2.3M. He won’t get over that. I be highly surprised if he even got 2.5M. Maybe 2.5 for 1 year. But if he gets a 2-3 year term. It will be around 1.75M for 3 yearsz 5.25M total.

At this point he’s not getting 3m. I also don’t think he’s moving the needle much anyway. Wasn’t really doing much in Nashville: 24 even str points in 2-3 line TOI, not really good two way player....
