Description
Hypothetically if all their RFAs got max level offer sheets that they'd probably sign for.

Not taking NTCs into account in this post because let's face it the NTC players are the one TB would be moving in this kind of circumstance.

Change the 1st to a 3rd and then we'll talk. Tampa should keep Foote and not use him to get rid of a bad contract. Stralman is a 3rd pair D, Schenn is a 8th D and not sure if Bahl is ready. In " worst case scenarios ", isn't it more likely all RFAs get bridge deals?

Why would Tampa trade Foote? They could just keep him and us him on D. Trading gourde would be easier than TJ so dump moore for like a 3rd + spec and the trade gourde for little return instead of having to lose Foote who they would desperately need here.

I know it’s worse case but dumping moore and gourde together is super unlikely and hurts you more than splitting them

Lol no. With Moore coming back as a bad contract BOS will be adding to the pile. That's how dealing with division rivals work.

Strålman works with Sergachev as the 2nd pair D just fine. Schenn is a placeholder D.

By worst case scenario I put the maximum offer sheet contracts with the known compensation for those guys. I do believe that Tampa will re-sign the guys with bridge deals but it's not the point of this post.

Tampa isn't trading Foote, They will need some of their cheap ELCs, Doubt Boston has the cap space for Ryan McDonagh. And that Gourde contract is brutal doubt the Devils have any interest in him.

I think all your contracts are high.
Sergachev is probably in the 4 mil range. I don't know how you came up with 6+. You act like he's a proven 1LD, He's not. He'd be a 2LD at tampa, looking at 4 mil range.
Cirelli probably gets 4-5 range on a short term deal.
Cernak the case could be made for 4 mil as he's probably their best RD as of right now. But it's really hard to say.
They aren't taking cap back when they move McDonagh, that mess up there is a good example as to why.
Although don't count on a huge return either.

I highly doubt the Bruins want or would give up all that for McDonagh and the Florida and Nashville trades wouldn't be accepted other wise not a bad job

Are you kidding me? That trade is great for Florida! I'd take that any day!

Sergachev's value right now probably lies around 4 AAV, but his agency is gonna ask for 6-7 based on term and potential. I think he signs a bridge for around 5 or he's traded. Probably the best trade chip they have and are willing to lose.
I agree that Cirelli is high...he gave him Point money like last year and Point was a 92 point player opposed to Cirellis 44 in 68. I know they are different players, but that's too much IMO.
Cernak is overpayed IMO

We will have to agree to disagree on Sergachev's . He's not a 1st pairing guy right now. The potential thing I'm not going to get into that.
As of right now he's on a team where Headman takes that role.

You look at some of the other young guys.
Pulock got 5
Deangelo got 4.8
Nurse got 5.6 but that was before Covid.

All guys on RFA. Similar stats roles.
Really only guys seeing 6+ are UFAs.
4-5 range is where he'll be at. I think Deangelo contract is a good marker for him to be honest.

Yeah the first round pick is nice but they wouldn't take on Johnson's contract and retain some of Stralman's because that is a lot of cap space that just vanished.
